The Catholic Services Appeal (CSA) had a fantastic start to its "Summer Visitor Parishes Week One" thanks to the incredible energy and generosity shown by the community. The kickoff weekend saw an outpouring of support, highlighting the unity and shared mission among parishioners.
"The energy and generosity from our Summer Visitor Parishes were truly inspiring," said Steve Tarnowski, Diocesan Director of Development. "It's a powerful reminder that we are united in a shared mission to serve our community and grow our faith." The response from participants was a powerful reminder of the community's commitment to faith and solidarity, aligning with Bishop Powers’ Pastoral Plan on Evangelization and Discipleship. Organizers expressed gratitude for the enthusiasm and faith demonstrated, calling it a great start to the campaign.
The Summer Visitor Parish CSA will continue this week, with a general launch for the entire Diocese scheduled for the weekend of September 20–21. The community is encouraged to participate and contribute to the diocesan-wide goal of $2.4 million. Every contribution, regardless of its size, is a step closer to Bishop Powers' objective of achieving 100% participation.
Donations to the Catholic Services Appeal are more than just a contribution; they are a direct investment in the future of the Church. The funds raised help to support several key initiatives, including:
Supporting Seminarians: Shaping future priests and leaders.
Strengthening Clergy: Providing essential support for current priests.
Nurturing Youth: Helping young people develop their relationship with God.
Sustaining Parishes: Offering crucial support to keep local parishes vibrant and active.
Parishioners are encouraged to check with their local parish to learn about their specific fundraising goals. To make an online donation or to learn more about the ministries supported by the CSA, you can visit Catholicdos.org.
