The Church invites all Catholics to prepare themselves spiritually prior to their marriage through prayer, attending Mass, and celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is a gift given to the Church by Jesus to help us in our daily walk with Him. It is a safe place for us to repent of our sins, seek forgiveness, and receive the love, mercy, and strength of God in order to live a holy life. It allows us to continually return to God and seek His guidance in all that we do.
